This was the 46th year for this very popular Pony and Dog show held at Lower Norchard Farm by kind permission of Barny and Ann Price and Ed Dunne.
The weather was ideal with warm sunshine with a gentle breeze from the NE-rain followed after the show had finished – yes we were lucky.
The turnout for both pony and dog competing for numerous prizes and rosettes was excellent. The pony fancy dress was tremendous and it was a very difficult task for the judges. The gymkhana ring was packed with competitors for almost 2hours.Clear round jumping and handy pony did good business, as did all classes.
The Fun Dog show had numerous classes including Waggiest tail, Best Veteran, Best Trick (dog not owner) something for everyone. This was all organised by The Dog House of Worcester and next year it may be expanded.
Superb refreshments were available all day as was a bar featuring Peopleton Press Cider.
All profits go to the Peopleton Village Recreational Trust for the upkeep of the very popular and much-used village hall.
Local businesses helped sponsor the many pony classes to the sum of almost £1,000 and a raffle was held throughout the day.
Don’t forget to come along next year.
Finally thank you to all the helpers before, during, and after the day it is a lot of work.
