The official opening of the community orchard will take place at 5.30pm on Monday 28 July. The guests of honour will be Ann and Martin Lane. Ann is the daughter of the late Bert Lomax; the orchard will be named in his memory.
There will be brief formalities followed by drinks and “nibbles” and a chance to wander around the orchard to see how it is progressing. We hope that many villagers will be able to attend.
